Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In contemporary era, traditional arts and crafts are no longer popular since the emergence of modern technology and trend. Young generation consider traditional trends as old-fashion and ancient. Moreover, modern trend-center is promoted by the artists or influencers who live in western. The artists promote their own arts and crafts in order to create new trends and people tend to follow the trends because it remains viral. I believe this phenomenon is urged by the lack number of artists or influencers who promote traditional arts and crafts.

In addition, the role of school to expose young generation with traditional way of learning remain decreased. Most art activities in the class is utilized devices — ipad, laptop or smartphone to visual arts. Compared to 1900s era, the creation of arts from leaves, woods, clay is profoundly popular. Students were taught to explore arts from earth elements which is excessively traditional.

To preserve local tradition, the awareness of local exhibition from various ages should be existed. The introduction of traditional arts and crafts must be included in art course material. This step will gradually build people awareness to preserve tradition in each country. Moreover, the role of influencers and local artists is essential to promote local tradition. It powered by their huge ability to influence their million of followers so that traditional arts and crafts can be rebirth and well-known by massive people.
