Around the world, there are several countries which have made mandatory for young citizens to serve the nation as militants after completing their high school. I agree the concept of compulsory military service for both men and women.
Whenever a country is suffering from natural calamities such as flood, landslide and earthquake, soldiers are deployed for rescue operations. If young individuals are provided with military trainings, conducting such operations would be more effective with high efficiency. For instance, during massive earthquake of Nepal in 2078 B. S., military officers were able to save numerous lives trapped which were trapped in destroyed buildings.
An added benefit of obligatory service as militant is the pathway to career. Both men and women are more likely to be employed on their desired fields after the completion of service. Having served as a soldier adds on to one’s work experience which will increase the chance of landing a new job easily. Discipline as well as moral principles taught during military training could be advantageous as employers seek these qualities on selecting the right candidate.
Likewise, militants have benefits on health also since they have to go through daily trainings and exercises from very young age. They are motivated to continue their routinely workouts even after completing their tenure and hence, they will maintain healthy lifestyle rest of their life.
In conclusion, although an idea of implementing military service as mandatory is debatable, adopting it would eventually be beneficial to not only the nation but also the individuals. Therefore, it needs to be practiced by all nations.
