In some countries, there is a mandatory military service for young individuals after graduation. The adoptation of this system is a good ides for all nation without gendar exemption. I strongly agree with this statement.
I believe that entering military academy for both young men and women has a beneficial effect for them. Inside the training academy, it could build their confidence, discipline, and brotherhood. For example, all military graduates had a strong contact relationship with their comrades, good decision maker, and abiding individuals. This will be part of their training to be a better citizen
Furthermore, requiring military service has a significant role for boosting the international securty, counter insurgency, and military aid for national disaster relief. For instance, in the Philippines, there are some militant organizations who are fighting against government. Therefore, if both genders of youth have to undergo compulsory military training it would be an additional personel of its armed forces to provide protection for its nation.
On the other hand, there are many critics who are not in favor for this matter because they think this against the human rights. Some nations is under democratic rule, so young people should have the opportunity to choose if they want to participate the army or directly look for work.
In conclusion, although compulsory military service has a significant effect for its national interest. However, it could be a deterrent for its human rights advocates who have argued for this policy if would be applied for all nations around the globe.
