In most parts of the world, state governments consider financial development as more important than other forms of progress. These other forms may be social, and political. Leadership in all parts of the globe should indeed consider all forms of progress because they are equally important to everyone in any country due to the reasons discussed below.
Firstly, the growing of the economy does not guarantee wellbeing within society. This is due to the fact that citizens good lives requires leaders to get into society for dealing with public issues and increasing interaction together with harmony. As a reference, I was able to witness interaction between leaders and individuals from variated classes for disccussing problems and finding solutions, which will promote everyone wellbeing, something that can not accomplished with only economic growth. Therefore, succeeding highly in finance will be useful but not everywhere nor in every situation.
Secondly, growth in economic wealth will not happen if other needed forms of development are not attained. This is because activities that are concerned with making money requires the society and the political conditions of the state to be enoughly developed. As an example, it is obvious that no trade or business will be carried out if there is any hinder to peace within people and political stability. So, economic growth also requires other forms of development to be achived.
As conclusion, development is needed in all of its forms since these forms are complementary. Progress in economy should not be considered as most important, but as a part that is needed for the country’s wellbeing.
