Many governments believe that economic development is the goal of peak importance, however, many advocate for the equal importance of other types of progression. I firmly agree with the latter statement and believe that economic progress can not be achieved without development in various other sectors.

Developing economically has become a priority for many governments worldwide but this can not be attained without the progression of equally important aspects. Firstly, governments must develop ways that positively influence a nation’s citizens and produce income. Increasing industries and factories in nations lead to lucrative growth, this can increase a country’s financial independence and also create many job opportunities that positively influence residents’ quality of life. An example can be seen in Japan where revolutionary industrialization has massively increased the nation’s net income and helped thousands of unemployed individuals make adequate earnings. Therefore an integrated approach will lead to the progression of all sectors equally

Additionally, critics of this notion highlight the importance of subsidizing better educational facilities. Increasing people’s literacy in a country can lead to unprecedented development and therefore inevitably lead to the economic progression of a country. For instance, countries like Sweden owe their massive economic development to their high literacy levels. On the other hand, governments stress that in this fast-paced world developing financially should remain the main focus. With rising prices and increased demand worldwide, it is imperative that governments focus on financial stability and that other developments follow suit.

In conclusion, while economic progress is of crucial importance, a collaborative approach that allows for the progression of other sectors should be the main governmental goal.
