A lot of mothers and fathers work long days and have work-related stress because they want to have enough money to provide their children with a good lifestyle. This has more disadvantages because the main disadvantages are less nurturing families and more arguments in the home, whereas the main advantage is the fashionable clothes that they can afford.
The first drawback of parents working under such conditions is that they will not be able to nurture their children enough. These parents are spending most of their time at work, so the child spends the majority of their time in childminding services where they don’t get the same level of attention and affection as they would at home.
In addition to this, when the family is together, they have more arguments than families with easier jobs. These parents with stressful jobs often carry the stress home with them, so they don’t have much patience left whenever the child misbehaves and will often resort to arguing rather than having a measured response.
Despite the problems mentioned above, there is the benefit of having enough money for the children to wear fashionable clothing. Especially as a teenager, having expensive clothes can make a person stand out and make friends more easily. For instance, in my school, all of the most popular students were the ones who wore the latest trends.
In conclusion, there are more disadvantages of working long hours in stressful jobs as the children are less nurtured as a result, and these families tend to argue more frequently. Having said that, there is the advantage of the children having fashionable clothes which allows them to make friends easily
