Some people think that having a healthy lifestyle in the countryside is easier, meanwhile, others contend that living in cities offers several health advantages. This essay will discuss both perspectives before presenting my own position.
On the one hand, building a healthy and balanced lifestyle in the rural area is much easier than that in the cities depends on two factors, encompassing the air quality and the convenience of natural conditions. To begin with, when living in the countryside, there are not many factories and transports, which are the main culprits triggering the poor air quality in the cities, therefore, the atmosphere in the countryside is more peaceful and clean compared to the larger cities. People accommodating in the rural area are little affected by pollution issues such as: noise pollution, air pollution, and even the environmental pressure, hence, they will less suffer from the respiratory diseases. Secondly, with the natural conditions, including the opportunities to access the organic products and more green spaces, people will be more healthy. Living in the countryside enables residents to consume local products, such as: fresh meats, vegetables and fruits less dependent on fast food or packaged items. Rural residents tend to eat healthier, less preservative substances, thus, not only their physical health is developed but also contribute to their overall well-being enhancement.
On the other hand, city dwellers also have a wide range of health benefits including the approach of facilities and high technology. Firstly, cities offer a lot of international hospitals with many medical professions, as well as cutting-edge equipment, ensuring the sufficient treatment for every resident. For instance, for the challenging surgeries, doctors in the cities can diagnose quickly with an accurate result, helping patients curing immediately, lessening the detrimental effects of diseases. In addition, when living in the cities, people have more opportunities to access with the high development of technology, allowing the health management to become easier. For example, there are many hospitals that provide healthcare apps for residents, which can help them book appointments with professional doctors online, follow their health by apps, or participate in health courses. Moreover, many cities usually run the schemes ,including regular medical examination and vaccination, lectures on nutrition, raising people’s awareness about their both physical and mental conditions.
From my own opinion, I believe that, regardless of area, every person has the opportunities to have a healthy lifestyle. We can commence with small footprints such as a healthy diet, and balanced daily routine to protect and enhance our well-being.
In conclusion, while rural areas offer a cleaner environment, fresh food resources, and a more relaxed lifestyle that make it easier for people to maintain healthy habits, urban areas also provide undeniable health advantages, such as better medical services, and greater access to health information. Therefore, both places have their own strengths, and the level of health ultimately depends on how individuals make use of the opportunities available to them.
