There is an argument that maintaining a healthy lifestyle could be achieved easier if people live in modern cities or rural areas. Personally, I prefer the latter because the rural environment has several health benefits to humans
On the one hand, city dwellers could have better access to medical treatment. The first reason is that there are a lot of health facilities in cities. People having health problems may see the doctor any time they need within short distances. Another reason is that cities have medicines for deadly diseases. It is because cities have much more technology and funds for finding new vaccines.
On the other hand, in spite of low access to medical treatment, it is believed that life in the countryside reduces stress significantly, leading to better access to healthy living. Firstly, the rural community has cleaner air, which is because people here hardly use vehicles contaminating the atmosphere such as motorbikes, cars. This advantage is likely to deter people from suffering respiratory issues. Secondly, the pace of life in the countryside is much lower than in the cities. Since people tend to move to a city, the competition in provinces hardly exists, which reduces individuals’ pressure and boosts their mental health.
In conclusion, while living in a city provides several health organizations with a variety of cures, living in the countryside improves people’s mental health with clean air and less pressure. I believe that rural living is better since from my perspective, prevention is better than curing.
