Undoubtedly, scientific research is the driving force for the economic and social development of every country. It is considered by most individuals that the authorities alone ought to be given a chance to conduct and manage scientific experiments over private agencies. However, I disagree with the statement and believe that private businesses should be given the chance under the surveillance of the government.
My disagreement steps from the fact that private companies bear both time and efforts in navigating the innovative things, because they are experts of the field and know which steps are required to fulfil a research. The innovative concept of motion and gravitation, for instance, was formulated by Newton due to whom we are extremely grateful and know why we move and live on the Earth. Hence the above example vividly illustrates that why the private corporation should be given the rights to carry out the accurate research.
On the other hand, it is also quite crucial that the private businesses must be monitored by the government so that they conduct research ethically, as there are many individuals who emerge for their personal benefits only and are materialistic. For example, some scientists try to take benefits of their findings by making dangerous weapons. Therefore, the authorities must have an eye on private companies.
To conclude, although private companies should conduct and control the scientific research, they must be observed by the government to avoid any trouble, which may take place in the future.
