Answer: Nowadays, social media has become very popular among everyone, especially the youngstars. It is beleived by some individuals that social media has a negative impact on face to face communication skills, especially among young people. I completely agree with the statement.
On the one hand, young individuals are spending a lot of time on their phone scrolling social media, or sending reels to each other, thus they have no time to go outside and spend time with their friends physically. They also have been deprived from social activities and because of this their face to face communication skills are decreasing day by day as they are being disconnected from eye contact, body language, and understanding emotional cue.
On the other hand, since the young adults are maintaining less face to face communication with their friends and family and also disconnected to the society, the bonding with their family and their socity have been also lessen. As a result, though everybody is sitting together in one place, all of them are busy with their phone scrolling social media. For instance, there is no dinner table conversation in today’s society.
To sum up, I would like to restate that I totally agree that social media has a negative impact on face to face communication skills, especially among young people as social media has a lot of disadvantageous.
