Band 6+: Many people say the gap between rich and poor people is wider, as rich people become richer and poor people grow poorer. What problems could this situation cause and what measures can be done to address those problems?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The problem of the widening gap between the rich and the poor has become more alarming. This phenomenon can result in educational inequality, social insecurity and can be dealt with by providing educational and job opportunities.

One significant problem resulting from the growing divide between the rich and the poor is educational inequality. In fact, wealthier families can afford to send their children to prestigious schools, access private tutoring. In contrast, children from the low economic background have limited access to education. As a result, with a high level of illiteracy, they cannot escape poverty. This is a vicious cycle. To tackle this issue, governments and organizations should provide more educational opportunities, such as scholarships and grants for disadvantaged students. By ensuring that all children have access to quality education, the rich-poor gap can be reduced.

Another problem associated with the increasing wealth disparity is social insecurity. When individuals feel they have no hope of improving their circumstances, they may resort to crime as a mean of survival. To solve this problem, it is essential to implement crime prevention programs. These programs play a crucial role in helping at-risk people to find legitimate ways to enhance their lives and reduce the likelihood of criminal activity.

In conclusion, the widening gap between the wealthy and the impoverished prevents significant challenges, including unfair education and unsafe society. By providing scholarships, grants and raising awareness of crime prevention, the gap between the affluents and the disadvantaged can be narrowed
