In recent years ,a lot of students are losing interest in studies and leaving college early.This essay will discuss the main causes to leave the education and suggest paractical solutions to this growing problem.
One of the primary causes of leaving higher secondary school is outdated curriculum.It is observed that content of various subjects taught in high school is not up-to-date. It is still following old school pattern which is no more attractive for today’s students.In this modern era students are mostly intrigued by scientific and research based work, which equally helps in them in their personal as well as paractical lives. Thats why students find it boring to have a conventional degee from college. Additionally, teaching methods are quite monotonous and tedious. Students hardly take interest in taking lengthy lectures on black boards.Most of them dont even bother to come in classrooms.For example, recent data from pakistan higher education commision showed that most of the students bunk their classes and attend AI-based skills centers to learn graphic designing and digital marketing skills. This data proves that students are not so focused on high school studies.
To address these issues, both students associations and eduactions boards can work together to reform education system.One suggestions is that to modernize the curriculum for students interest by addition of more research based and updated study content in books. secondly we can use introduce pedagogical methods like use of power point presentation and group based discussions in class rooms. This reformation will bring a mega change as more student participation is involved in these methods of teachings.
In conclusion,students are leaving college because of orthodox curriculum and old school teaching methods.However, through curriculum reformations and latest teaching style,these issues can be sorted, leading to higher literacy rate of society.
