The general public is increasingly aware of providing a better education for children. Some people feel that sending students to abroad university would bring back great opportunities while others argue that it may cause several drawbacks for the young. The essay will discuss both these positions in turn.
Clearly, there are number of obvious merits. The most visible would be that students can improve their foreign language skills. One reason behind this is that students need to learn more languages to use them in learning environments and daily life. This is without doubt beneficial because new languages are communication tools that help them make global friends and learn about new cultures. Besides this, another plus point could be that foreign colleges can provide international qualifications. This is definitely valuable since students will have more chances to get job opportunities for multinational companies.
However, it is generally accepted that there are a couple of shortcomings. The most impractical characteristic would be high tuition fees and high living expenses. This is a clear limitation because there are a number of things such as renting house fees and foreign currency that combine into a huge burden. Lastly, an additional weak point may be homesick. And this can be a hassle because children would suffer from upcoming problems in a completely unfamiliar country.
On balance, everything has its own reasons: negative and positive sides. However, it is my view that the advantages of studying abroad can eclipse its troubles due to the great benefits it generates.
