Band 4+: Many studies show that poor people are more likely to be involved in petty and serious crimes than people who come from higher-income groups. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays there many disputes about petty and serious crimes. It is argued that humans who live in poverty are more tending to commit a crime than people from well-earned families. I completely agree with this opinion and think that poor people are often become a criminal than rich ones.

To begin with, I believe that well-paid job or higher-income relatives decrease level of petty and serious crimes. Firstly, lack of money make people to rob to earn some cash for food, clothes and different other stuff which would them help to survive. Secondly, poverty teenagers cannot afford to get education to become an competitive employees. Price of an ordinary college or university, which can help them to get useful knowledge for future career is very high. Without necessary degree people find a low-price job, which cannot ensure their accommodation and food. After that humans decide to get easy money and start to rob to survive.

Furthermore, people who cannot allow themselves to live in a good apartment in a nice neighborhood move into poverty ones. That’s bad part of town is usually a center of crimes and petty. As a result, people see a lot of criminality in surroundings and start to think that it is a normal behavior for everybody. Thus, lack of money and poverty neighborhood cause involving people in petty and crimes.

Taking everything into consideration, I strongly believe that people with low-income are more like to commit offences and theft that people who come from well-earned groups.
