Over the past few years, sports play a significant role to improve our mental and physical development to younger people. Howbeit, some people argue that these events should be banned because the younger people avoid them because of if they lose the game and people are laughing on them. While it is true that losing a game could be discouraging, I completely disagree with the statement.
To begin with, competitive sports teach to younger people some life skills such as team management, discipline. Losing a game is part of any competition, and it helps to children how to fight with failure, and encourage to improve their skills. For example, many successful sport persons like Mahendra Singh Dhoni who is not selected for an Indian cricket team, after this failure, he did a job in railway and he played for railway team and he’s manager encourage him to restart their practice so it would help to select in Indian team. After a selecting match, he selected for Indian team as a wicketkeeper and he is now becoming the best wicketkeeper in World. If sports competition were banned, children would miss out some social skill like team management.
On the other hand, some young people may feel pressure and anxiety due to competition. However, this issue can be reduced through a proper coaching and parental support rather than eliminating competition. Encouraging them on winning and losing will help child to enjoy sports without fear.
To reiterate, banning a sport competition is not good solution. Instead of, efforts should made to create good nature where young athletes can enjoy the competition, learn from experience and adapt some technique from seeing other or best players, and grow physically and mentally both.
