Recently, owing to the superior development of technology, it allows humans to access and download online copyrighted music and books promptly without fees. In my perspective, I contend that this phenomenon is beneficial for users.
On the one hand, this trend has certain disadvantages affecting directly works and individuals. Firstly, easily taking copyrighted products from the Internet can lose their original value because of a lot of effort and time spent to create perfect artworks, which have to undergo a strict process of verification before publishing. Therefore, copyrighted books and music not guaranteed quality can falsify their original significance affecting individuals’ experience. Secondly, this phenomenon also harms citizens’ awareness and behavior as users can access uncensored books and music easily, which makes them imitate or gain inaccurate knowledge. As a result, it can be a challenge for the government to manage and ensure the safety of citizens when engaging in the Internet.
On the other hand, despite some drawbacks, this phenomenon still brings benefits to individuals. It facilitates people to broaden their minds thanks to the convenience and free-of-charge Internet brings. Through providing an infinite source of knowledge and information from copyrighted books and music stimulates individuals’ interest as well as contributes to creating a digital world, towards an advanced society. In addition, downloading books and music directly from the Internet allows people to access free knowledge and contributes to economizing finance, even if it is insignificant. Thus, apart from gaining certain knowledge from online books, saved money can be utilized to invest in other aspects such as health, technology, and fashion, which facilitates self-development, while still ensuring the approach to knowledge and recreation.
In conclusion, despite some detrimental effects, free-of-charge copyrighted books and music still assist people in gaining knowledge and saving money while still satisfying personal demands.
