Modern technology is a boon and a bane. It is true that modern technology helps us in a lot of useful ways. In fact, it has now become an integral part of our lives. But, in my opinion, modern technology has become a major threat to our nation since it has complete control over us.
With the rapidly developing technology, comes all the disadvantages along with it. Now with the click of a button, all our personal information including our location can be accessed. Our bank account details can be easily accessed as well. Even a single fingerprint will be sufficient to get hold of all our data. We have no privacy whatsoever even though people claim to do. It doesn’t take a minute to hack into our social media accounts and gain access all of our information including our day to day activities. Crime offenders are now being able to completely change their identity including their physical appearance which becomes a great advantage for them.
With the Artificial Intelligence developing at a faster pace, even our appearance and our identities can be morphed and misused. Even the phone we use everyday records all of our data and can be used as a weapon against us if needed. For example, with the use of modern technology even nuclear bombs are created which is a big threat to the whole world. Dark web is another example where all illegal activities are taking place without people getting most of the time. Morphing images, child abuse, looting money from banks etc have become soo easy with the help of modern technology.
In conclusion, modern technology in itself isn’t a threat to the nation. We, the people who use this in a bad way are the culprits. This can be curbed when we use modern technology in favour of people rather than using it against them. But, it is necessary for humans to know about the effects of modern technology and use it cautiously.
