Public buildings play a role in preserving cultural heritage and history and providing a vital services to local communities. Some people argue that the government should fundraise building new public buildings such as museums and town halls. From my point of view, the government should reconcile the ancient and existing buildings in order to save and introduce our heritage and culture to new generations.
We cannot deny that some existing buildings cannot rebuild and rekindle, so we need to build new modern facilities in our modern society.Firstly, older structures may become unsafe over time, and renovating would be both ineffective and expensive.Furthermore, newly constructed buildings can provide the needs of growing population by providing more space and modern structure facilities. For example, a newly built museum can consume safely more people than before.
However, reconciling existing public buildings is generally a more effective, use the money instead of other things and advertise our culture and heritage.First, renovating building cost can be cheaper than building new ones because we need to build the first step and spend more time on it.Moreover, the saved money which can be spend to build schools, hospitals and kindergarten.Second, old public buildings introduce and illustrate the citizens culture and heritage to new generations and tourists. On the one hand, it is the one way to advertise their culture by their old facilities in global. On the other hand, the new generations see the old buildings and recognise and research the history.
To sum up, although constructing new buildings may be need some circumstances, I believe that renovating existing ones would be essential choice because it reduces unnecessary expenditure and preserve culture and heritage.
