Nowadays, many higher education institutions offering courses via distance learning which can be beneficial to student who suitable to this type but it can be problem to unsuitable learner. I agree that distance study is good for suitable learners, there are some factors why it can have advantages for suitable students and disadvantages for unsuitable students.
There are several reasons why distance learning is good for suitable types of students. First, it is easy for learners to access the course material and read it again. It supported them to study based on their own pace and it can be less stressful to understand the courses.It happens because every person has different time to understand the subjects. Second, students also have possibilities to learn at universities and colleges from all over the world. It is very useful for workers to minimize living cost and get good quality of study.
In contrast, some disadvantages of distance learning consist of, it is hard for person to get direct and quick feedback from the teachers and difficult to get opportunity to meet and socialize with other students. For example, introvert students feel comfortable to learn in their home rather than in the classroom but they can have a good relationship to other students. It happens because they just type a message without know the other students personally.
In conclusion, I believe that distance learning has several drawbacks such as the feedback from tutors and lack of communication with other learners. But, based on the arguments above, I agree that it can be beneficial for students who design to be a good learner such as it can be accessed from everywhere and everybody can learn from around the world.
