Nowadays, there are crucial questions about migration, that’s because an enormous number of people are moving to metropolitan areas. In this essay the reason why this is happening and evaluation of this development will be discussed and a proper conclusion provided in the end.
First of all, there are various causes of urbanisation processes occurring globally. From my point of view, if you live in a large city, you will have more opportunities and a big range of jobs to choose from. Furthermore, you can earn a lot of money in a mega city instead of a village or small town where there is no such possibility. Moreover, there are more opportunities in basic human needs, such as vacation, medicine, living conditions and others. For instance, if you live in a small village and you have enough money, ability and you see perspective in it, for sure you will do it, so this is a reason why this is happening.
Personally I think that it is a positive development, because if this does not happen, there will be a lot of free spaces in the big companies and more and more businesses will be closing. Therefore, it could be affirmative for the government, because the more jobs are filled, the more taxes are paid. In contrast, it can be negative from an environmental perspective. The levels of pollution in overcrowded cities are overwhelming due to excessive traffic and huge amount of waste in general
In light of these facts, I believe that it is positive development, primarily for people who are moving and secondly for the city and government, because it leads to economic growth. Additionally, cities provide unlimited opportunities to develop your talents as it has various facilities, such as dancing studios, extracurricular clubs, IT courses, study academies and sports clubs, so it is more possible to be recognised and get a successful career there unlike the rural area with a lack of it.
