Band 6+: More and more people are travelling everywhere by plane, rather than by buses or cars these days. Why is this the case? What are the benefits of travelling by car or bus compared to by plane?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

For decades, travelling has been a popular choice among tourists to relax on their holiday. Therefore, the number of people who prefer travelling by aircraft to by buses and cars has increased rapidly nowadays. In this essay, I will explain why this trend is happening and what are the advantages of airplanes compared to buses and cars.

There are three main benefits that make people choose planes to travel. The first benefit is the fast speed of planes. Air travel is the fastest mode of transport for distant destinations and it is much quicker than buses, cars or even high-speed trains. Second, planes are widely considered to be one of the safest forms of transport. Planes can fly through the sky and don’t have to face dangerous geographical risks such as oceans, deserts, or mountainous areas or avoid getting stuck in heavy traffic. Furthermore, aircraft can provide passengers with many convenient facilities. Despite some discomforts like small seats or the noise of powerful engines, planes offer a more comfortable journey compared to other forms of transport. You can watch movies, listen to music or sleep without worrying about driving. With those advantages, planes are one of the most comfortable and convenient ways to travel to remote places.

Although travelling by aircraft is highly beneficial, buses and cars are also very advantageous. Travelling by car is very flexible and it can bring freedom to holidaymakers. For example, when you travel by car, you can set your own schedule, go anywhere you live or visit marvellous and magnificent places. Additionally, buses are one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport. Buses have a lower carbon footprint compared to planes, so it can reduce the amount of gas emissions released. Also, you don’t need to spend much money travelling by bus. The fare of bus tickets is cheap so it is affordable for every social class.

In conclusion, although planes bring more comfort and convenience to tourists, cars and buses are also another alternative if you want to save money and protect the environment.
