Nowadays, people are more likely to prefer using electronic devices such as laptops, mobile phones to access with information. Thus, printing books, magazines, and newspapers is no longer necessary. In my opinion, I totally disagree with the mentioned statement, which will be dicussed in this essay.
Paper documents are more easily accessible to the public. Buying newspapers, magazines, or books is convenient because they appear everywhere, on the street, in the bookstore, or even among strangers. People don’t have to worry whether their “newspapers” are out of energy or not. For example, if you want to update the news without electronic devices, you can just go to the bookstore or ask a stranger to share the news with.
Another reason to explain my perspective is about health problems when using electronic devices for a long time. Phone screens or anything close to them can cause serious health problems, especially for our eyes. It detetorates sharply our vision, which leads to being shortsighted or even blind. One practical example is that researchers have shown that the percentage of shortsighted people has increased over the 30-year span since the Internet expanded widely all over the world, and the cause of this problem is electronic devices.
To conclude, this essay strongly disagrees with the idea that paper documents are no longer necessary to be printed. They are both convenient, available everywhere, and do not harm human health.
