As time changes, people’s thoughts change as well. For many individual appearance is something that can assess their status, character, and personality. That is why they spent large amounts of money on that, in order to look younger. I think the main reason of looking younger is requirements of this new era and competitions between humans. This trend shows both negative and positive sides.
On the one hand, looking younger, compared to their peer, can give people a sense of satisfaction and arrogance, sometimes. Especially in today’s world, it can assess person’s character, status and sign of wealth or poverty. Many judge people depending on the way of closing, talking, and even walking. In such cases, human dignity starts diminishing. Therefore, many people try to look younger or healthier. Competitions between communities is another possible reason. In previous centuries, women are only person who fight for good appearance. However, nowadays both genders, males and females, endeavor hard and makes absolutely sure that they look good and fabulous.
From my personal perspective, this trend has own advantages and disadvantages. From one angle, having a stunning appearance can make you feel well-respected, appreciated. It assists as a protection from negative flow of negative opinions. In a world where everyone scrutinizes each other’s dresses, hairstyles and the place they were going, looking spectacular can give them freedom and comfort. However, from different angle, it leads to our attention to details of everything. If they do not like their body shape, they would complain and go through surgery, in a hope to fix it, even though they born like that. Year by year, it might exacerbates the problems. And humanity starts losing the real meaning of living and why they are differs from other creatures.
In conclusion the reason behind this phenomenon of looking younger, arise from competitions and assessments among society. Although younger skin, and better appearance can give freedom and comfort. I think that we cannot ignore the advantages as well.
