With the creation of internet, socialising has become very easy and accessible, leading to it’s burgeoning use. In my opinion, this is a positive development, as it allows people to make new friends and maintain long-distance relationships.
Firstly, the internet has made contacting other people very easy. With just a single tap on the phone or laptop, you can call or text your friends and families. No matter the distance, you can interact with your loved ones via facetime. Unlike in the past, you can conveniently talk to your dear ones, any time or place you want. In addition, it allows you to update yourself, about the lives of your relatives and friends. It would not be wrong to say, that the birth of the internet has revolutionised communication and global networking. Contacting relatives abroad, for instance, is only possible due to the advancement of internet via Skype or maybe Google meet.
Secondly, social media platforms, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, has made it possible to make new friends. There also many other group chats, where strangers interact and befriend each other. Furthermore, dating apps are also trending, now a days, as it allows people to learn about each other as marriage prospects. All these applications, has made it possible for individuals of different personalities and races, to mingle and understand one another.
In conclusion, the internet has enabled people to befriend random strangers with different ethnicities and race. Furthermore, it has allowed us to stay connected with our precious friends and family, without caring about physical distances between them. Therefore, the use of internet to connect with different people, in my opinion, is a positive development.
