A great number of artists earn modest salaries and in order to carry on with their work they have to receive financial support from the state. While I partly agree that artists should receive financial support, it also imperative to regonize that the art community has a responsibility to build a strong and independent economic system.
Art is important for culture and society: however, artists’s income often not paid enough comparing to national average salary. Many artists face difficult work condition which is making unsure about their job. As a result, government funding can help artist pursue their work and reduce financial stress. Supporting the art benefits culture and society overall.
However, some individuals oppose funding for artists. They believe that public money should be spend on healthcare and education instead. Others argue that artists should find different ways to earn money, such as scholarship. These methods could help but, they are not suitable for long term and all artists.
In conclusion, government funding can asist artists but, they should not rely on it completely. Artists also need to support themselves financially. Therefore, using both government help and independent income is the best solution.
