Due to low-standard salaries, the profession of an artist has always been one of the most underlooked. However, there is surely no doubt about its importance to education and cultural development. That is what, to my mind, makes government sponsorship inevitable. To illustrate my view on this topic, in this essay I will express some of my points and give some examples.
Firstly, works of art evolve human nature and minds. A lot of other artists, people of culture, scientists, even white- and blue-collar representatives often admit that some piece of art became their major inspiration. No matter what incited them to do: great discoveries, game-changing innovations, simply being helpful and effective at work, or even creating new masterpieces to infuse hearts of others with faith and hope. Art is simply an idea requiring some resources to become material, but it will, without fail, pay off with thousands of happy people.
As briefly mentioned previously, artists’ craft is mostly valued for its message and concept. A creator puts his or her thoughts into it, personal experience and, of course, national individuality. Nowadays, it is important for countries to be seen and respected in different areas, so an addition to the diversity of the world’s treasures would be helpful.
In conclusion, I strongly agree with the statement about the necessity of government funding for artists. Despite having always been troubled and underappreciated, in the future this craft should be far more supported by politicians, as it is profitable for both sides, motivating other people to be useful and representing them on an international scale.
