There is no doubt that every nation out there always seeks a better life conditions for its citizens. While many people are in favor of achieving this through economic advancement, others argue that if we relied solely on that we might lose various significant social values. In this essay, I will discuss both sides and explain my support for the former view.
One major disadvantage of focusing only on economy is that might sever the connection between the population. The result of this is a broken society where everyone’s only concern is how much money in their pockets which will eventually lead to violence in every part of the country. For example, althought the USA is the leading country in finance and economy, it has the highest number of imprisonments in the world.
On the other hand, the first and foremost advantage of working on improving our economy is that we will have enough money to support different vital sectors for the population. For instance, if we provide the necessary funds for schools and colleges, we will have supported our young future generation by equiping them with the required skills to be successful . Moreover, the health care system will able to cover more people with a great quality since we can afford it.
In conclusion, despite the critical drawbacks of prioritizing economic development for a much better standards of living such as a dismantled community, I personally believe that this will ensure benefits not only for our young people to succeed in life , but for our health sector which is crucial for everyone.
