Band 7+: Most of the urgent problems can only be solved with international cooperation. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There are a lot of unexpected and unpredictable problems that occur everyday around the world. It may be a normal thing for the government to deal with issues such as employment, tourism development, and crop damage, to name few. But, when it becomes a bigger and more serious problem that not only affects one country but a whole continent or even the whole world, there must be an involvement of an international cooperation in order to resolve in a timely manner.

In the past, there was a lot of frustrating and urgent problems that can be called a “disaster”. For example, COVID-19 is a biological disaster for mankind which has killed millions of people all over the world in just a short period of time, and nobody was prepared for this sudden calamity. In order to gather together as many countries as possible to solve this problem, there must be an international cooperation that would stand out and provide a platform for all countries to come together and make important decisions. This cooperation can be a source of official information for the impacted public, such as the World Health Organization (WHO).

Another example is UNICEF. This is an organization that provides emergency food and healthcare to children, as well as protecting children who are living in poor conditions such as those during World War II or even during the current war between Ukraine and Russia.

In summary, we can say that most of the urgent problems can only be solved by international cooperation. Because human solidarity is strongest and most powerful when we are able to sit down together and set our determination to solve something, nothing would be impossible for us.

It is widely argued that governments should make higher education free so that every individual, regardless of their financial background, has the freedom to study further. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
