In recent years, online learning is becoming increasingly popular. People hold different opinions about it. In my opinion, everything in this universe has positive and negative sides, depending on each person’s perspective. I only partly agree with this view because both learning methods play important and distinct roles.
On the one hand, we can not deny that online classes bring people many benefits. First and foremost, online learning is not only time-saving but also money-saving. In fact, instead of spending hours going to specific places, nowadays people can study anywhere, right at home via the internet. Moreover, modern e-learning is a very effective way to reduce traffic congestion during rush hours. Therefore, it contributes to reducing air pollution, reducing global climate warming
On the other hand, conventional classrooms remain essential for several reasons. In the first place, face – to – face interaction helps students develop crucial social skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, which are difficult to fully acquire through online platforms. In addition, teachers in physical classrooms can monitor students more closely and provide immediate guidance, which is particularly important for young learners who may struggle with self-discipline. For example, when a student appears confused or distracted, a teacher can immediately step in to clarify the lesson or refocus their attention.
In conclusion, although online classes offer significant benefits, they cannot completely replace conventional classrooms. A combination of both methods may be the most effective approach for future education.
