Developed technologies have become so alarming nowadays that they have led to a change in children’s behaviour regarding how they spend their leisure time. With this advancement, I am personally convinced that the drawbacks surpass the advantages, which I will outline in my essay below.
Perhaps, one prominent disadvantage of this issue is that a technology-provoked adverse impact on the children affects their daily habits. First, if they had spare time after school, they would prefer to play games, smartphones, and other gadgets rather than conduct their assignment. As a result, this provides detrimental effects against their education. For example, they fail exams and receive poor results. Furthermore, most children also spend their holidays just playing on their phones instead of talking to their parents. This could weaken relationships among children and parents due to the fact that such a consequence is prompted by a lack of communication between them. Ultimately, children have an atrocious bond with their parents and they obtain insufficient attention from them.
Turning to the benefits, sophisticated technologies also offer numerous benefits. For instance, one of the most beneficial advantages is that they serve vast amounts of information. Children could use their gadgets to seek their duty-related literature. Additionally, the internet, artificial intelligence, and other advanced devices facilitate easily to search updated and renewable resources or data. Moreover, when children spend their free time they could harness various platforms to listen to music and watch a movie. This would enhance their spirit and motivation. As long as they are still in their parents’ monitoring.
To sum up, while it is undeniable that new technology seems to have advantages to some extent. However, I firmly believe that the drawbacks are more profound and impactful than the benefits, significantly altering children’s behaviour against how they utilize their free time in daily life
