Nowadays, many children spend their precious time for watching TV or playing video games. With the advanced technology, children begin watch screen more than usually, both at home and at school. I strongly agree that overuse screen time may be unhealth to children’s mental health, generally because they lose their concentration and may negatively influence behavior.
One major reason why watching too much TV and playing video games is that these gadgets and TV shows reduce children’s ability to concentrate. When children spend long hours in front of screen, they become less focused people. As a result, they may lose their motivation for studying. For example, many teachers report that students who spend excessive time on screens struggle to concentrate during lessons, and often fail to complete tasks efficiently. This lack of focus can seriously affect children’s academic performance and learning development.
However, some people disagree that looking at the screen, and playing mobile games can have positive effects. One reason is that children can study with TV program, and also video games can develop motor skills. For example, playing some video games, which consist cruelty, affected on our reflection abilities. These benefits would be useful if we have limited time.
In conclusion, although watching TV and playing video games can have positive sides, I largely agree that excessive using these activities is harmful for a child’s mental health.
