In the modern era with the advancement of technology it is believed that students ability to do basic calculations and handwriting has been affected. It has been suggested by some individuals that there usage should be limited. I completely agree with the statement and will be sharing my views in upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, due to excessive modernization students mental ability has got weak. In other words, mathematics is such a complex subject which helps in sharpening the brain by doing calculations manually. Adding on, it helps in increasing the concentration power of the children. No doubt each and every calculation can be done on calculators, but it makes pupil dumb. Secondly, technology will not stay permanently which means one can not always rely on it. Moreover, if one does not know how to do calculations manually it shows that person is illiterate that they are unable to solve problems. So, schools should reduce the usage of technology.
To add on, handwriting is also important as it shows the trait and personality of the student. Nowadays, people are more reliable on carrying documents in their laptops or other tools. Due to this usage of paper documents has reduced which has weakened their grammar and spelling mistakes. In earlier days people use to send handwritten letters to loved ones which helped them in improving their handwriting as well. No doubt such tools are boon at some extent but there limit should be reduced till certain age so that students can enhance their writing skills along with evaluation skills.
To conclude, excessive usage of such tools has effects on students solving numerical problems which shows them dumb in the outer world. Handwriting is also important because it helps them to learn grammar and spellings of words rather than depending on technology.
