Insomnia has several consequences in human life. One of them is the weakening of the immune system. This, in turn, reduces resistance to various infections and diseases. On top of that, lack of sleep impairs thinking, memory and decision-making. This can reduce productivity in studies or at work. If this condition continues, sleep deprived people may face major setbacks in life such as failing important exams or losing their jobs.
Of course, once it’s established that sleep deprivation is bad, there must be a solution. It is recommended that devices such as phones, computers, or televisions emit blue light, which suppresses the production of the hormone melatonin, so it is necessary to stay away from the screen 1-2 hours before sleep. As well, eating heavy food at night is a burden on the stomach and can affect the quality of sleep. Due to this, in the evening, it would be appropriate to choose and eat light and easily digestible foods. The method that is considered the most basic solution, that is, forming the habit of going to bed at the same time every day and getting up at the same time, has a good effect on the body and improves the quality of sleep.
In conclusion, addressing sleep deprivation through reducing screen time, eating lighter meals, and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule can enhance health, mental clarity, and overall life productivity.
