In the contemporary world, modernization is leading numerous people to pursue a lavish lifestyle via luxury items such as clothes or cars. From my perspective, I totally think it tends to be an adverse development more than beneficial.
To start with, there are multiple reasons that cause this increased trend. First and foremost, this lavish lifestyle is mostly derived from the belief that purchasing products from famous brands can be equal to holding a high position. As a result, people are willing to buy stuff with an exorbitant price in order to enrich their outlook and to beautify themselves. For instance, there are a plethora of celebrities buying things from well-known brands which enable them to build up their reputation and catch attention from the masses. Moreover, the causes of this advancement also start from wealthy and influential people, specifically celebrities. When a celebrity who has a huge fan community uses an item that goes viral, it can have consequences for the following of their fandom.
However, This development can negatively have a detrimental impact on humanity. Firstly, buying stuff from well-known brands can foster consumerism which is a severe issue in the present day. Majority of people are now into buying expensive products that become unessential for themselves especially, they cannot use them all or they are only used a several times.Furthermore,this trend instills negative spending habits, especially among the youth. It promotes a luxurious lifestyle at which young people pay attention to their outlets without saving money.
In conclusion, I firmly hold a strong belief that people should buy expensive items from famous brands that align with one’s needs and preferences rather than succumbing to societal pressures.
