INTRODUCTION
Today, there are a huge number of people who enjoy purchasing famous brands of clothes, cars, and other items. There are several reasons why they choose to buy such things, and I would like to explore the negative aspects before concluding.
To begin with, people are extremely influenced by celebrities who wear luxurious brands such as Sara, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. In the era of social media, young boys and girls, especially young adults, often experience feelings of superiority. Youngsters tend to show off what they buy, wear, and use by posting it on online platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook. They are more interested in how others perceive them, often using these platforms for showcasing their purchases.
Nevertheless, apart from that, there are a large number of individuals who can actually afford expensive brands for pleasure. Many people are misguidedly influenced by social media celebrities, feeling pressured to buy expensive clothes or products and wishing to acquire what is popular at any cost. Consequently, parents who earn less often struggle to meet their children’s desires for luxury products. For instance, in India, where I live, an iPhone is considered a common necessity among many adults.
To conclude, expensive clothes and cars are not a requirement, yet they continue to hold significant appeal.
