In contemporary society, most individuals are into socialise interaction such as Facebook, Zalo, Tik Tok instead of in person communication. This situation has surely brought about both strength and weakness ; these are discussed in this essay
On the one hand, communication in social media has an array of benefits. One obvious benefit of this scenario is connecting anytime and anywhere, making it easier to maintain relationships and stay connected despite being in remote countries. This means individuals who interact with other people on the internet can not only eliminate the need to travel or spend on outings, saving both money and time but also foster global friendship.Consequently, they learn about other nation’s culture, cuisine and native people ,which trigger development in many sectors in their region.
On the other hand, in spite of the aforementioned upsides, I argue that there are several downsides associated with personal skills and security issues. Firstly, online communication lacks face-to-face social skills. In other words, excessive reliance on online interaction may diminish real-life skills like facial expressions and body language; reduce in-person communication abilities such as public speaking or conflict resolution.Secondly, another key negative aspect is privacy and security information. This means socializing online involves sharing personal information, which could be exploited through hacking, identity theft, or cyberbullying. This is to blame for cheating, leading to exert detrimental impact on their country even for life safety.
In conclusion, with all its merits and demerits, this phenomenon can exert a double-edged impact on their lives. Therefore, it is suggested that we need to be fully aware of all the pitfalls and unhappiness that is associated with it before any necessary action can be taken to avoid negative consequences. As far as I am concerned, I would argue that the demerits overshadow the merits.
