It is true that many people prefer watching foreign films over domestic films. This can be due to the major difference of Production Quality between both. I really think the government should support local industries financially so they can improve their production industry.
On the global scale of production, there are some factors that decide whether the film would spike the interest of the audience or not. On that basis film quality can be the major cause. Foreign film industries usually have a large production budget that makes them use advanced visual tools, talented and recognized actors, and a great script that can be more appealing to the viewers than the local films. Another reason can be foreign language that feels more attractive to the audience than the language they have been hearing in daily life. Finally, the unique ideas that are highly eye catching from viewers perspective also explains the people’s preferences.
I really think that the government should provide more financial funds to the domestic production industries. In that way they can improve their visuals, make them more appealing to the audience and can afford much better talented and well-known actors. Moreover they can also generate great scripts as they will have more budget to afford new ideas. They can engage their targeted audience by using advanced CGI, stunts and improve the quality of their movies. It will also help them to grow their domestic industry and attract a worldwide audience.
