In recent years, watching international movies has become more popular than watching locally produced ones in many countries. This trend occurs mainly due to high production budgets and effective marketing, the governments should support local film industries.

There are two main reasons why foreign films attract larger audiences. Firstly, major global film studios have huge budgets, allowing them to use advanced special effects, famous actors, and advanced technology. As a result, foreign movies often look more exciting and dynamic on screen. Secondly, international films are heavily advertised around the world, making it easy for people to hear about them and get curious to watch them. For instance, major Hollywood blockbusters like Spider-Man: Brand New Day use hight-tech CGI and world-famous actors, which creates a spectacular visual experience that attracts millions of viewers.

When it comes to government support, funding local cinema is essential for culture reasons. Local movies help preserve a nation’s unique language, history, and social values. Without the government subsidies, smaller local studios might struggle to survive against global entertainment giants, leading to loss of cultures. Furthermore, a thriving film industry creates valuable jobs for local actors, writers, and technical staff, which benefits the economy. However, the government assistance should be managed carefully. Funding should be given to talented and innovative filmmakers to help them produce high-quality content, rather than simply giving away money without standards.

In conclusion, foreign films are popular because of their huge budgets and global visibility. Nevertheless, the governments should support local film industries to protect their culture and boost the economy, as long as public funds are spent responsibly.
