There is an ongoing debate as to whether the advantages of e-learning outweigh the advantages of face-to-face. While proponents of e-learning argue that people can be taught via modern devices without any hinder, many people believe that face-to-face education helps to sharpen social and communication skills to a higher degree. Despite both sides claiming very valid points, I would argue that traditional education is highly-preferred for people, especially for children.
Firstly, it is reasonable to consider that e-learning provides a more easily-accessible way to studying. Children would be able to learn any kind of lesson materials, including text and videos, anywhere and at any time. This convenience can help to ones who are physically disabled or have some kind of serious illness. Furthermore, online education can include millions of courses and available information. These kinds of knowledge often are not available around all the spheres of the world. So, learning things online would help you, even if it is not taught in your country.
Secondly, in some cases, critics of online education consider that it cannot replace face-to-face. First of their main reasons is the loss of social activities which e-learning brings alongside. In addition to their argument, traditional education provides not only the learning materials itself, but also improves social skills, such as communication. Moreover, not everyone in the world has a healthy internet access and reliable devices to learn. Therefore, it can create a disparity among learners.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that, in spite of these two education styles are extremely important, developing social skills is far more critical to all people’s lifes, especially during childhood. As a result, I agree with proponents.
