Nowadays, it is normally to learn a lot of foreign languages, due to the fact that such knowledge helps to communicate with different people. Therefore, some individuals claim that knowing overseas languages is necessary for achieving success in their career development. However, the rest of the people do not agree and believe that not everyone has to learn other languages. In me opinion people do not have to speak on many foreign languages, because everybody can get lucky job without this skill.
On the one hand, it is obviously that nowadays plenty of people do not have any free time, as they mainly work and study. Hence only small group of adults has possibilities to learn languages. Moreover, many of them do not think that knowing one or two foreign languages would improve their career development, as they already have job, which provides them money for living. And I totally agree with them because for instance, the probability that I will use Spanish or Chinese residing in Tashkent is quite small.
Furthermore, I have heard a lot about successful people, who were not taught even some basic and elementary information, but they still earn more than those who have been learning academic subjects including overseas languages. Also, today everybody owns cell phone, which has applications that can translate speech on other language quickly, but sometimes with mistakes, However, if a person do not want to use mobile phone, then he or she can hire translator, who performs work without any problems.
On the other hand, knowing more than one language is good for expanding horizons. For example, humans who master other languages, besides the native one, are able to travel around the world and communicate with citizens not having constraints. Additionally, it helps businessmen to cooperate with other companies and students to study at foreign universities.
To conclude, I think that the decision of learning languages depends only on personal desire. And everyone is able to have good career and the results of it does not rely on knowing overseas languages.
