Modern technology has become an integral part of human life, and we are increasingly dependent on it. However, this dependence brings various disadvantages, one of which is the inability to learn or remember basic skills. Additionally, if you rely too much on technology, you may struggle to perform everyday tasks. I strongly believe this is a significant issue, and my essay will express my views on it.
One of the biggest drawbacks of technology dependence is that people spend excessive time on their devices primarily for entertainment. For example, many individuals devote half their day to online chatting, playing games, watching movies, or browsing the Internet, rather than socializing with friends or participating in outdoor activities. Consequently, it is evident that modern students have limited basic skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Moreover, this dependence negatively impacts their academic performance.
Despite these drawbacks, we cannot deny that smart technology has had a profound effect on household life. For instance, washing machines not only help people clean clothes faster but also provide better results, while vacuum cleaners make maintaining clean floors easier. However, this convenience may lead to children becoming increasingly lazy and less capable. It implies that they struggle to manage tasks independently without technological assistance.
Clearly, there is no doubt that technology has gained popularity around the world. However, it is important to acknowledge the negative aspects associated with modern technology. Ultimately, it does not foster the development of basic skills or encourage independence in children.
