Nowadays, some people believe that parents, especially mothers, who stay at home to look after their children should receive a payment from the government. I totally agree with that statement. In my opinion, a salary for such parents should be established at the state level for several reasons. In fact, raising a child is one of the hardest jobs in the world, which requires all the attention and time that a person has, consequently such parents should receive some kind of an award for their hard work. Moreover, a child needs a lot of special things such as kids’ food or clothes, which sometimes can be really expensive, therefore, the government can not ignore it and should help families with money issues.
Firstly, for a mother having a child usually means leaving their work and spending all their time looking after him. This kind of care and nurturing requires a lot of effort, patience and strength as all of the parent’s attention is focused on their baby. For instance, a lot of kids do not sleep much due to some factors such as teething or stomach pain. Therefore, parents need to stay all night looking after them, which can cause them some health issues such as blood pressure or headaches. Moreover, a lot of mothers in Russia are unable to balance their personal life and child care, trying to give them all the love they have and raise them well. Furthermore, their efforts should not go unnoticed, and a good way to pay them for it would be a salary, such as parent capital.
Secondly, nowadays raising a child can cost parents a fortune. Kids, especially newborns, need special healthy food, clothes and such things as crib, stroller and bassinet. As they grow older, children should attend different classes and prepare for school, which usually takes a lot of money. And since most moms choose to care for their families instead of working, the other parent’s earnings may not be enough to support the children. Due to this fact, another parent sometimes has a second job trying to make more money, which can lead to the lack of the time they can spend with their kids. Therefore, the government should support families that wages can not fulfill all kids’ needs and pay an amount of money for mothers who decide to stay at home .
In conclusion, the payments for parents who are sitting at home with kids should be established at the state level, because raising a child is a hard job and sometimes an expensive one and should not be ignored.
