Band 5+: People nowadays spend their free time less actively than in the past. Do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

From the past to the present, there are many changes, and human routine also changes. Working more and more and more hectic. But after all, there are opportunities to have free time to relax or do outdoor activities such as reading, listening, riding a bike, camping with family or simply lay back and relax. The changes in human routine also influence leisure time usage. I totally agree that people spend their free time less actively than in the past.

On the one hand, where the past eras most people had workloads relatively high, however they was worked by many people so they was not too stress. But now, with similar workloads, it was worked by only one so the amount of free time is shortened. For example, in the past in the media press field, there were many journalists working but today one person has to do many things such as writing, taking photos or recording videos. However, there is a strict rule between working moments and family occasions. Most people use their leisure time to play and interact with blood-related members such as on Sunday morning, they used to play football, camping or watching movies.

On the other hand, society is increasingly developing, followed by the development of technology, which appears everywhere today. Therefore, the need for human resources is decreasing and the requirements for qualifications are increasing. The implication of this is that workers needs to try a lot and need to improve their skills, so they will be under a lot of pressure. As a result, If they have free time, they will spend it on massages or sleeping and not spend it on exercise.

In conclusion, society’s development led to time for work increasing and decreased time for leisure.
