Nowadays, there is a view that people who are going to reside in foreign countries, should accept their traditions and the way of their life. While I disagree with the idea that people should follow new customs, I believe that sometimes it would be better to experience something new.
The reason why I would argue against this statement is the fact that people prefer to be loyal to their motherhood. Almost every government tries to keep and hand over their traditions to the young generation. Following this, more and more young people think that they should not follow unknown customs and when they live in new country, they even do not show any interest to local lifestyle and do not appreciate them. As a result, these individuals become arrogant and they do not respect others’ cultural history and traditions, expect for their ones.
On the other hand, I think that it is sometimes better to explore new customs due to it can bring raw of benefits. Put simply, if people are interested in discovering unknown traditions they could get beneficial knowledge, linked to the history of the surrounding area. Moreover, by following the foreign customs and traditions they even might become the part of local society and receive respects from residents, due to the fact that they appreciate their customs. However, there is a moment that they should not forget about their motherhood’s customs by replacing it to a new one.
To sum up, relying on all mentioned above facts, such as being loyal to your own country’s traditions, I personally think that it is sometimes better to discover new customs of foreign region.
