In recent times, pollution has become a worrying issue and many people can see the consequences of it all around the world. Some say that this problem should be solved locally, while others argue that it is necessary to tackle this internationally. In this essay, I will look at both positions and try to draw some conclusions.
It is often believed that countries alone may play a significant role in solving the pollution problem. For instance, the authorities of these areas can encourage citizens to use more sustainable means of transport, such as public vehicles, which tend to have a lower level of produced emissions. This can be done by slashing the ticket prices and reducing the number of delays that usually make the usage of public cars inconvenient for many individuals.
On the other hand, an alliance of certain continents might bring in more impactful laws. For example, they can put a limit on the figure of jet or helicopter flights for politicians and celebrities that noticeably contribute to the world’s pollution. Furthermore, the governments may improve the quality of education in some areas, in order to make helpful scientific professions more appealing and accessible for people with different backgrounds and views.
In my opinion, despite the fact that the increasing levels of pollution are indeed a serious problem, it can be tackled. I believe that all countries should work together by exchanging various opinions and spreading awareness about this issue among citizens. Hopefully, this approach would lead to a more productive and diverse working process in the near future
