After the outbreak of Covid 19, health has become a major concern among the people . Many argue that preventing the disease before spreading is more easier than spending more money on research and curing it . In my opinion I strongly disagree with this view
Firstly, spending money on research and treatments of disease is truly a beneficial and crucial thing .Each year we came across different viruses and diseases,so proper research on these virus and finding the method to cure it is an important thing, because without knowing the causes of the disease we can’t practice an preventive measures. For instance,if we take the case of Covid-19 and Nipha at the starting we were not having any idea on how the virus is spreading and how to cure it , after many laboratory research we was able to find the cause and cure for it , new preventive vaccines was found . So spending money on research and curing the disease is necessary thing
Secondly, preventive measures can be only practiced if we already knew the cause of the disease, if a new virus or a disease are spreading and people are still following the old preventive measures those methods won’t prevent them from getting affected. Many reports say that during a pandemic many people followed non medical preventive measures to cure the disease which lead to the death of thousands of people. For instance WHO notified the people that in case of a pandemic always follow preventive measures regulated my scientist and doctors instead of following their own preventive methods
In conclusion, although research and curing a disease is costly than preventive methods, spending money on them is crucial for our existence
