It is reasonable that whoever commit a crime will be sentenced to a prison. However, it would not guarantee the criminal’s evil acts, therefore prison is not the best punishment nowadays anymore. In my opinion, there are more benefits and setbacks to this way handling with criminals.
To begin with, imprisonment for any case of murder, robbery, or kidnapping is by far one of the effective solutions. During the time spent behind bars, wrongdoers could take time to adjust their own core values and reflect their actions and even do community service. However, some types of offenders do not deserve freedom in jail doing whatever they wants to. For instance, serial killers or murders take away people’s life and chance to live is the worst thing that man can do, especially, if victim before die suffer from murder’s actions. Therefore, for that inmates trial should deliver a verdict where will it be said that lawbreaker will have a capital punishment and survive in the extreme measures alone, without any contact other prisoners to not allow them make a plan.
Defendants who suffer psychological disorders should be isolated from society, because no one knows what they would do if their prison sentence will come to over. These kinds of wrongdoers could be dangerous for society and victim’s family, because there is no limit of madness for inmates. So it would be better if judge prove them unsafe for society and prisoners will be sentenced to life imprisonment for serious crime such as cruel murder or premeditated murder.
To sum up, jail as a punishment for criminals is soft option for such a cruel and crazy murders due to no one have a right to take away people’s lives. I believe that for them it should be a capital punishment with extreme measure to lose lawbreaker’s freedom and feel of safety. They should be sentenced the harshest conditions in prison to feel how it was to a victim.
