Nowadays, in many parts of the world, more and more people believe that prison is the best penalize for felony. While there is some truth to this belief, I would disagree with statement and my opinion will be discussed in further paragraphs with a suitable conclusion.
Supporting my agreement to the given statement, I firmly believe that prison is a good place to prevent crime. So, some people just can’t be allowed to roam free innour society. Prison sends out a strong message to would be criminals. The imprismnent of murder, rape or robbery is one of the most effective solution. To cite an example. In 2020, France increased its prison sentences against crimes, resulting in a 20% drop in crime to date.
Secondly, because crime is so high these days, it is appropriate for criminals to be in prison. For example, murder is a serious crime and the killer should be kept in prison to prevent further damage to society. if not caught in time, it can lead to further destruction. The more criminals there are, the more likely they are to do something bad.
Explaining some of the another supporting points in against this statement, Another reason I disagree with is that offenders are subject to prison terms. That is, they are locked up so that they are deterred from doing more evil. In addition, various punishments have been introduced by the government for criminals. This can be subject to a prison sentence.
In conclusion, I would like to reiterate my position that if there is any truth to the belief that prison is a good place for criminals, I would disagree with that statement. I believe the points mentioned above are strong supporting points
