Since the metro was founded it has been playing a vital role in the lives of city dwellers, as it is convenient to get to exact destination.That is why I fully agree that underground is the most practical way when it comes to public transportation and in this essay I will support my view with examples.
One of the most reasons why city residents prefer metro rather than other kinds of public transportation is its affordability. For instance, if considering taxi and metro,average amount of money that is spent on taxi services compiles about 30 percent of total income while using metro is nearly 7 percent. It is also proved that metro works on electricity, whereas taxi uses fuel, thus taxi costs more money. Thus, this mode of transportation is pocket-friendly for city dwellers.
One of the extent advantage of this velocity its speed as well. Comparing to the most widespread public transportation bus, the train carriage is 150 km per an hour that 3 times bigger than bus carriage. Subways are also free in terms of its path whereas buses can face manifold obstacles such as pedestrians or frequent bus stops. Therefore,metro saves time,especially for city dwellers who are really busy.
Nevertheless, coverage of train remains not so good impression, metro tends to have only big stations,and distance from one to another may be really long. However, this factor doesn’t influence on mitigating its usage. Citizens are still use metro and it doesn’t lose its popularity.
In conclusion,metro always stays as the best option for city dwellers due to its affordable price and rapidity. Therefore,its clear why continuously it remains its relevance.
