Band 6+: Services, such as shops, schools and commercial centres should be relocated out of the city center. To what extent do you agree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Urban areas are becoming more congested because of the increasing job opportunities in such areas. That is why it has been suggested that facilities like educational institutes and shopping malls should be built outside the city center. I believe implementing this idea can improve the various aspects of life for the city’s residents which I will outline in upcoming paragraphs.

There are various benefits of executing the idea of relocating some facilities to the outer urban areas. Firstly, it will help to reduce traffic congestion in the city center. The number of vehicles leads to major traffic congestion due to various resources available in the center of city that leads to a wastage of time for individuals. Such attractions often lead to road closure in major cities like New York which negatively impact various individuals. Not only this but it also increases the level of pollution in such areas which results in severe health complications for individuals living there.

Furthermore, it will also benefit businesses and individuals from the economic point of view. The central land of the city is more expensive because of the high demand, however, the outer urban areas are more economical. Therefore, businesses can save costs by transferring resources like malls and academic institutions to outside of the city center which can also make it affordable for ordinary individuals. Various merchants have applied this approach of opening malls in the outer city areas, and it proved successful.

In conclusion, the scheme of shifting major facilities from the central urban areas to the outer part of the city can improve the residents living standards by reducing traffic jams, cleaning the atmosphere, and making resources more affordable.

Public celebrations such as national holidays, cultural festivals, and public events are common in many countries. Many countries thought that children have to do homework in their free time while other say children should do more outdoor activity. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is an ongoing debate about whether students should be given homework every day or have more free time after school. Although homework can provide additional practice, which can be helpful for students’ progress, I believe that school hours are intended for education, while time after school should be used to pursue children’s own interests. […]

The government spends about 220 million pounds a year supporting museums and galleries in the UK, and a similar amount subsidizing the visual and performing arts. This is a huge sum to spend on minority interests, and the money would be better spent on more important things. It should be up to the people who enjoy cultural attractions to pay for them. What are your views?

Annually, the UK government spends a large amount of money on supporting the cultural and artistic activities. Some people argue that the government should allocate funds to more critical areas, while the cost of cultural entertainment should be paid by individuals. In my view, I don’t fully agree with this perspective. On the one hand, […]

Some experts suggest that teaching children to code from a young age is as essential as learning to read and write, while others argue that it narrows the curriculum and stifles creativity. Discuss both perspectives and give your own view.

Many individuals arguing about teaching coding in schools that can be beneficial for students, while others believe that it will disturb learners from other subjects like arts and humanities, stifling creativity.
